After spending all of Saturday doing yard work and building a new gate for our side yard we decided to go for a ride. We went to American Fork Canyon after 7pm, knowing we had just a couple hours of sunlight left for the day. We hitched up the four wheelers and took off. What a beautiful day it had been and the evening was just as great.
These pictures are about 5 miles above Tibblefork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. The ride was beautiful. The road was narrow, but worth the trip. Nathan and Kevin were on one 4-wheeler and Kyle and I on the other. Kyle was a bit nervous because the road was very narrow in many places. The truth is, I've taken this road before with Nathan and the kids in our old truck. I hated it. It was much nicer on the 4-wheelers. I can't wait to go again.

Just for Fun
We have so much fun with friends and family in the mountains. This was our first neighborhood camping trip for 2009. We had a great time in Manti Community Campground. We had seven families join together and enjoy the great outdoors.

Never Go Hungry
Kyle couldn't be found. Oh....he must be at the lake. He and the other boys were catching fish left and right. Kyle cooked his for Friday night dinner.
Can't get enough Dutch Oven. I made 36 rolls. I didn't plan very well. I should have brought more "frozen" dough. I think there were 38 people at our campground.
Cooking in the trailer worked out great. Kyle even got me to cook him a pizza before we left for home Saturday afternoon.
If you starve at our party it's your own fault.

My Garden
Beautiful Day!
Today was a beautiful day. I love working outside. Nathan went to get wood chips to put around the playhouse and trees. Nathan has made me some grow boxes in the garden. I tried to get the irrigation water ready in the garden. We need more attachments and sprinklers. We even used the 4wheeler winch to pull out an old sticker bush that I didn't want anymore. It will be exciting when the garden plants start getting bigger.
We have planted tomatoes, chives, onions, peppers, squash, cucumbers, strawberries, lettuce, corn, pumpkins and even sunflowers.
Hopefully the raspberries will do better this year. I've really cleaned them out and babied them. We'll see what summer brings.

Buying a new fifth wheel
June 5, 2009
Nathan and I have spent a lot of time looking for a new trailer. It has been a hard decision because there is soo much out there. We have been from South Utah County to Salt Lake City. We've finally found one that we think will be great for our family. We are very ready to go camping. It will be fun to get up to the mountains.
Thanksgiving Point
May 30, 2009
I took the kids to Thanksgiving Point. We stopped by the animal farm and then drove to the gardens to buy tulips. The farm was very impressive. We saw sheep, cows. llamas, Clydesdale's, horses, ......We even saw a four day old colt and a five day old miniature pony. Part of the admission was a wagon ride so of course we had to go. It was fun to do something silly and then go get tulips for next fall.

Little America
May 29, 2009
For Christmas we were given a gift certificate to Little America in SLC. Nathan and I took the kids and had a wonderful time. We ate, went swimming, and just had a chance to relax. It was so beautiful there and our room was on the 8th floor. It was a beautiful view of the north side of SLC. Nathan and the boys found the white robes. We are grateful we got to go. It's always fun to get away and then have chocolates on your pillow.

Kevin's "Eagle Project" was to paint and re-roof a 12'x24'storage shed at Mountain View High School. There were thirteen boys and leaders who helped with the project. Because of the support of the leaders and Kevin's peers they were able to complete the painting and re-roofing. This shed contains several large props used in the MVHS drams plays. By making this shed nicer the props will be able to be saved and reused in future plays.
