Kevin Bruin Time

Once again Kevin is playing Bruin Football. He is on the JV team at Mountain View High School.
This means he plays on Thursdays and dresses ready to play for the Friday night varsity games.

He's been working really hard in the weight room, running on the field, attending practices, and watching what he eats. His team practices daily. Kevin is always asking the coaches how to improve. What can he do better? He admires his coaches and takes in every word they say to the letter. I have to say....I think they like him too. They have him playing defensive corner-back.
He's pretty "buff". Often Nathan and I find him looking in the mirror checking out his "six pack". He's actually pretty humble about the whole thing. He's a great kid, "Man".
Pretty fun!

Kyle Soccer

KYLE'S PLEASANT GROVE SOCCER TEAM

This fall Kyle is participating in Pleasant Grove Soccer. I have to say....he does a pretty good job. He hasn't played for four years and keeps up with the other kids very well.

He has been playing goalie and defender. He's been diving and grabbing the ball to prevent the other team from scoring.

It has been really a joy to watch. It is just hard for me, the mom, to sit still and not yell and voice my professional coaching opinion.
They are playing teams from Pleasant Grove, American Fork, and Lehi, Utah.

First Day of School 2010 - 2011

Kevin stared his junior year, 11th grade, at Mountain View High School. He's got quite a heavy schedule. I definitely won't be able to help with homework. He has:

Seminary Technical Theatre
Calculus Wind Symphony (trumpet)
Physics Sociology
English Health
PE - Football training

On "A" days school starts at 6:20am. On "B" days school starts at 7:40am.

Kyle started 8th grade at Pleasant Grove Jr. High. He also has a tight schedule.

"A" days: "B" Days:
English Drama
Algebra Spanish
Percussion Science
US History PE
School starts at 8:15 for Kyle. He catches the bus a block away from our home to get to school and takes the bus home. Kyle is still recovering from his wound from Scout Camp. Hence the red dot between eyebrows.

This picture is taken by the "picture tree". Tradition. I just didn't get up early enough to take Kev's picture. Besides it was dark when he and Nathan left the house.

1st Annual Criman Reunion

BILL AND MARTHA CRIMAN
FAMILY REUNION
Gardiner, Montana
August 2-6, 2010

This year Nathan's family planned their first annual Criman Family Reunion. This was a chance for siblings and their families to get together and not only enjoy each other's company, but enjoy the great outdoors of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. This week was the first time that everyone has been together since Grandpa Criman passed away in June of 2008.

Saturday, July 31 - Our first stop was in Rexburg, Idaho. Nathan, Kevin, Kyle, Kristen, Jon, and I drove in the truck pulling the 5th-wheel. You can imagine how entertaining the ride to Rexburg was with all of us in the same truck. Never a dull moment. We parked the trailer in Paula's drive way of her new home. Jody met us there. He had already arrived in Rexburg earlier that afternoon.

Sunday, August 1st - After church we went for a ride to see BYU-Idaho and the Rexburg Temple. While at BYU-I, Paula showed us her office. She teaches and heads the Medical Assisting program and is starting her second year of teaching there.

Kyle shows off his outdoor skills on campus. This squirrel wasn't afraid of Kyle feeding it crackers.
Paula has the cutest house. We are so grateful for her hospitality and letting us visit her new home.

Monday Ausust 2 - 6th

Morgan and Dessa Dale invited us to share part of Gardiner, MT with them. They opened up their house to all of the Crimans. There were thirteen of us. When we arrived Cinda had a beautiful Lasagna dinner ready for us.
Above: Dessa and Owen (17 months old)
Morgan showed Kyle how to cast on the Yellowstone River below our campsite.

Tuesday we got to float the Yellowstone River. Morgan was the official "River Guide". There were two trips. On the first trip Nathan, Kristen, Jon, Morgan, and I went. It was a beautiful ride. I screamed and enjoyed every minute - two hours worth. Towards the end of our ride it rained really hard. Dessa and Chuck took turns on the Kayak. The second trip Morgan took Kyle, Kevin, and Jody. Sooo fun!!!
That evening our family (Nathan's crew) provided a yummy carne-ada meal. A little of El Centro in Montana.

I just can't thank Dessa and Morgan enough for letting us into Montana. We sure enjoyed ourselves! They live in a beautiful area of our country.
Thursday evening we enjoyed a lovely meal in the mountains. It was a delicious cowboy dinner in a beautiful setting. It doesn't get much better than this.

We had a delicious meal and were entertained by real cowboys around the campfire.

We spent a couple of afternoons in the park. Yellowstone National Park is an amazing place.
We saw buffalo, elk, a mountain goat, a coyote, waterfalls, rivers, and people from all over the world.
Jody brought "Mr. M". "Mr. M"has been to many parks, but this was his first time to Yellowstone.
One of our favorite stops was at the Boiling River. It's a place where the Gardner River and hot water from Geysers meet together. We walked through the water and found our happy place. If the water was too hot, we just had to get closer to the Gardner River. If you got too cold you moved closer to the Geyser water. AAWWWW!!!!
Below are random pictures of our campsite. A great time was had by all. I have to thank Cinda for organizing this whole reunion. She's been so excited since the idea came from her head. A special thank you to everyone for coming. We weren't sure if everyone was going to make it. Everyone did!!!!
