St. George

St. George
February 12-15, 2010

We spent the Valentine/President's Day weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson in St. George. Well, we really stayed in Hurricane because all the St. George hotels were booked. It was a wonderful weekend. Full of sand, eating, church, eating, shopping, and eating.

We spent Saturday at Sand Hollow and had a picnic with the 4-wheelers. Kyle and Grandpa also went fishing. That evening we hit Mongolian Grill, which is always entertaining and a nice treat.

Sunday we went to church at grandma/pa's branch. Everyone there was so nice. Kevin and Kyle were a couple of the youngest kids there. Since it is an "older" branch there aren't any Sunday School or Aaronic Priesthood classes for their age group. We all met together for Sunday School and they went with Grandpa and Dad (Nathan) to the High Priest Group. We had a wonderful evening eating in their RV and going for a walk up the mountain......Grandma wasn't even breathing hard. She gets the hiking award, along with her dogs - Tulip and Oliver.

Monday,before we went home, we hit Cracker Barrel and had breakfast. Yes, mom and I even found great deals in their gift shop (80% off). Mom also showed me a couple shops downtown, while the boys went to the hardware store. There just wasn't enough time to shop, but there is always next time.

Thanks mom and dad for the wonderful weekend. We love getting together!

It's hard to describe in words how much fun we had at Sand Hollow, Utah. Just enjoy the pictures. Grandpa and Grandma even learned how to ride a four-wheeler. Grandpa and Kyle also went fishing (not catching.)

Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came from St. George to visit and to see the play. They stayed in a hotel - so of course Kyle and Kevin went swimming. Kyle even checked out the weight room. Time was short, so mom and I only went to a couple of stores. I don't think we even bought anything.....I can't recall......

Paula also came from Rexburg to see the play. We appreciate her support. She is a great sister-in-law.

Little Shop Of Horrors

In January Nathan directed "Little Shop of Horrors" with his Drama 4 students. All the kids in this production were seniors. They were amazing and entertained many as they were eaten by a "plant".

We are so grateful for friends and family that come to see the plays. We have been blessed with so many things and we are thankful for those that support our family activities.

It has been a few weeks since the wedding and I am still humbled and grateful for the wonderful experience. Going to the temple with family and witnessing the sealing ceremony of our daughter and new son-in-law is something that I have always wanted. I am grateful for all the many family members, neighbors, and friends who took time out of their busy schedules to be with us during the wedding, reception, and open house. We are truly blessed and look forward to the future.

We went to Casper, Wyoming for Jon and Kristen's wedding open house on January 9, 2010. They shared their evening with Sara and William who also were married during the holidays. Sara is Jon's sister. They were married on Dec 26th in the Logan Temple.

It was a beautiful evening held in the cultural hall where Sharon and Dave Zabriskie attend church. So many friends and family were able to attend. Cinda (Nathan's sister) and Chuck also came over from Lander. It's always so nice to get together. Especially for special occasions as this. We feel so blessed for the family Kristen is now apart of. They are wonderful people full of love and compassion. We are excited for the years to come as we get to know each other even better.

Kristen and Jon will be living in Casper while Kristen finishes school at Casper College. They both plan on attending Utah State in the Fall. We are grateful to Jon's parents for letting the newlyweds live in their home until they move to Logan. And now.....here they go.........starting a new life. Mom, let go.

The hardest part was saying goodbye, but we know we'll make an effort to get together again soon.
